"Photon SF created our own version of the main title sequence to HBO's critically acclaimed drama series True Detective. What started as an excited conversation about the sequence, turned into a complete deconstruction of each shot. We even re-recorded the song!"
I went through the title sequence and analyzed how each effect was created, then took that to make a shot list to acquire source material necessary to recreate the sequence. This was a really fun exercise and gave us an excuse to go all around San Francisco and shoot a bunch of footage.
